POINTS OF INTEREST

A list of places to see, visit, hug. The best locations alone. Cemeteries and other such odd attractions are online.

Sauna & Hot Tube 😉

  • Hot Tube has actually been with us since the Centre was established 😉 , but the very one I want to write about now has been with us since 2010 😉 . At first it was smaller, for 4-6 people and recently we rebuilt everything and we have a Hot Tube for theoretically 8 people. But if you know each other well, even 16 could fit 🙂 ! This huge tub located outdoors under an umbrella of pine trees is heated by a wood cooker. In the evening, with candles and wine, it is simply REVELATIVE !!! The ideal water temperature is 40 degrees and it always is :). You can order such a tub for a group or for two people – we just need to know 5 h earlier 🙂 .
The cost of the event is PLN 150 for 2 hours, or PLN 200 without time limit 🙂 .

  • Sauna!!! The furious cold weather came and we decided that we MUST HAVE a sauna to be able to warm up after a day outside 🙂 . And there it is! A beautiful wooden dry sauna with electric cooker heating. Of course, you can order it for two people or for the whole group. Here the heating time is only 1 hour 🙂 , so much we need to know about your dreams beforehand 😉 .
Also this one – relax relax relax 🙂
The cost is 150 zł per hour, or 200 for 2 hours.

You are welcome to use it 🙂 – Just let us know before arriving 😉

Horse riding - our passion

  • We could write a book about riding and equestrianism here 🙂 . We simply love horses!

  • We specialise in really advanced riding techniques, although we also teach from complete basics. Everyone who comes to us has the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful sport. Always under the guidance of instructors, always on well-prepared horses.

  • During our stays we give great comfort of no pressure of time and progress. Everyone has the right to learn and everyone does it at their own pace. Everyone can also rest assured that with us it is not like any other school. You don’t have another client standing behind you, you don’t get on a saddled horse like a tram, etc. With us you go to get the horses in the pasture, bring them to the stable, learn how to clean them, saddle them up and finally get on 🙂 . After the ride you will saddle up, clean and lead the horses to the pasture. Then finally a well-deserved rest.

  • You can also be sure that during your stay you will go on a HORSE RIDE INTO THE WOODS. There is no better way to see the forest than from horseback.
During summer and winter holidays we do not run additional rides (there are camps) due to the care of our animals and the limit of working hours.

We heartily recommend and of course you are welcome 🙂 .

Motorbike tours - this is another of our many passions. We try to infect everyone with it 🙂

  • A simple tour as a passenger will certainly be the first thing we can make happen. With a person (passenger) willing to make such a short trip on a really great motorbike, with a driver who won’t put you under unnecessary stress, it will be quite easy 🙂 . I guarantee great fun in comfortable conditions 🙂 .
  • The expedition is already a topic for those who will come by motorbike. Depending on your willingness and arrangements, we can make a trip around the chimney (route up to 350 km), or an expedition of several days, along the most beautiful routes of northern Poland 🙂 . It is best to determine the trips before arriving at the Centre. We always adjust the difficulty of the route and the speed to your skills.
  • For those willing, we offer additional lessons in technical defensive driving, which directly improves the safety of motorbike riding.

You are welcome at any time, as long as it is more than 10 degrees above zero 🙂 .

Hire Scooters, or our RentaScoooota 🙂

  • MONSTER (actually TWO) rides on the road, forest roads, parks literally anywhere! We warmly welcome and recommend our reliable monsters – Keeway HURRICANE 50 🙂 . A true beast among beetles and grasshoppers. The 4.5 Horsepower’s insane power stuns even the toughest moles and voles. The fuel consumption is indeed a bit suspect, but it sticks around 2.5 l/100 km – SO LOW, BECAUSE IT IS POWERED BY LOVE 🙂 🙂 🙂 .

  • Top speed depending on ballast from 35 to NOTE!!! 50 km/h. This is no longer a joke. Such a Hurricane speeds almost as good as some decent bike 🙂 … Only without pedals 🙂 .

  • The storage compartment at the front is really capacious and without any problem will go in there with 5 kg of mushrooms!!! Or 4 eels – before smoking 🙂 storage compartment under the seat…. uuuuu…. quietly 8 beers and so they won’t move again….I can also convert it to the number of cones, but who cares?

    FURTHER !!!

  • You get a scooter fully fueled and such should be returned to the Resort. You may not have the opportunity 🙂 – then we top up the fuel on site and settle the missing amount 🙂 – We would like to remind you that a full tank is no small thing, as it costs about PLN 28-34 🙂 .

  • For those who wish, we provide fantastic routes (google maps files), which will allow you without unnecessary search, go directly to the most beautiful places in the area 🙂 !!!
  • The scooters are additionally equipped with a phone mount and USB charger for carefree travel 🙂 .
  • We also organise, in addition, the delivery of the scooters to you 🙂 within a radius of about 30 km – let us know where you want to start from, or where to pick up … no scooter 🙂 and we will be there on time 😉 .

Mushrooms and even sometimes FISHES

  • Mushrooms – this is something really sensational :)!!! I never liked to pick them, until here I was suddenly hooked :). AND I LOVE IT! We have beautiful forests for mushroom picking, plus we have mushroom dryers in reserve for you 🙂 – you won’t leave empty-handed 🙂 . Of course, generally they just have to be there, but usually they are :). Sometimes even when they are not there, we will point out to you fantastic places simply for a walk in the old-growth forest 🙂 .
  • Fishes – a lot of lakes in the area, permits to buy online and generally the SECOND LARGEST COMBINATION OF LAKES IN POLAND will make the fishing lovers have their eden here 🙂 – we have our own pond with fish 🙂 . .

Barbecues, bonfires, canoes and other oddities....

  • Barbecue 🙂 – We have two 🙂 . One a classic charcoal one and the other a powerful gas one (healthier, but….). Actually, we have about 10 barbecues on the Resort, but these are the main ones. We organise real barbecue and campfire feasts for our guests. Meats of all kinds, salads, fire-roasted potatoes are just the tip of the iceberg that awaits you in the form of food at our place. As a matter of fact, when it comes to food, you can imagine that you are a TITANIC…. and we are the iceberg ;). I recommend ;).
  • The smokehouse is 🙂 – you can talk us into something good to smoke, or try your hand at it yourself.
  • Lemon liqueur – we just make a very good one. Well, good… Brilliant.
  • Swamp expeditions 🙂 – something abstract, but sensational. The hour-long route through our own Centre moor gives you food for thought ;). I recommend 🙂
  • Sleigh rides… We have a total of 20 hectares of the Centre, so there is plenty of space for such a sleigh ride. Let me just say that our event is quite unusual and memorable :). I recommend 🙂
  • Canoeing! Huge possibilities – many rivers with different levels of difficulty. From ones to swim with small children or people who think they are too old or too heavy for canoeing to ones where you have to work out well to get home for dinner :). There really are RIVERS FOR EVERYONE! You can book yourself, or let us know- we’ll take care of it! 😊.
  • Overnight camping in the woods. Thanks to the rather large area of the Resort, we have almost 5 hectares of our own woods at our disposal, which gives fantastic opportunities for an open-air night in a hammock, for example :). If you add to this a herd of horses in the pasture, it becomes nauseatingly sweet ;). I recommend 🙂

Bike routes!

Bike tours! Here it is all about fantastic cycle routes. The short ones, where you can go with the little ones, as well as those of 80 km. We will be happy to show you the most beautiful places in the Tuchola Forest.

Many of them you will be the only ones to see, as no one knows them or even knows they exist.

In a moment we will include QR codes with great cycling routes 🙂

Places to visit - in our humble 😉 opinion worth seeing

  • Fojutowo – a beautiful village about 35 km from the Centre. If you haven’t yet seen an aqueduct (a junction of two watercourses – in this case two rivers) and the longest one in Poland, you must visit this place! In addition, you can relax at the swimming pools of the Fojutowo Inn, and in winter use the ice rink and ski slope.
  • Yew-trees Reserve – this is the oldest nature reserve in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. It is worth mentioning that the yew tree is the earliest protected tree in Poland. As early as 1423, King Władysław Jagiełło wanted to restrict the export of yew wood, which was used to make excellent quality bows and crossbows.
  • The Stążka Spring, or “dwarf waterfalls” – the name alone makes you want to see it, doesn’t it? A place for an absolutely magical walk. Personally, we recommend the extreme version, which we do ourselves: walking there at night. Then the place is simply unbelievable!!! And when the moon is still shining, you are on another planet.
  • Deer Island (Jelenia Wyspa) marshland on the Stążka River about 8 km from Tuchola. This is probably our second favourite place to go for a walk. Beautiful paths, charming footbridges over the wetlands, and the culmination of the trip is a viewing tower from which you can admire the vast marshland and, if you’re lucky, the animals that live there. On the other side of Jelenia Island, you can also stroll through a beautiful dendrological park along the Stazka River.
  • The nature trail in Woziwoda is just as beautiful as the above walking route with the Brda River meandering in the distance. Young and old alike will find something to enjoy here.
  • Nature trail on the Zamrzonka River – is located in a simply brilliant part of the Forest. The trail runs through the valley of the “Zamrzonka” stream. On the trail you will encounter numerous places where, during the 2.5-hour walk, you can sit down and enjoy the views of the surrounding nature.
  • The observation tower in Trzebciny – built in 2012 after the tornado that swept through the Tuchola Forest. By climbing it, you can realise what enormous forces were at work here. The very base of the tornado was almost a kilometre in diameter!!!

And if the above places don’t inspire you, they’re just crazy with Parks in the area, and you’re sure to find something to your liking 😊

  • Bory Tucholskie National Park,
  • Brda National Park,
  • Śliwice Protected Landscape Area,
  • Wdecki Landscape Park,
  • Natura 2000 site.

Then, going a bit off the beaten track, we would like to introduce you to a few more attractions 🙂

  • The Mining Village near Gostycin – a unique exhibition. You will learn more about mining and you will meet the mine spirit, who will bring you closer to the history of this place. In the offer of the Association taking care of the Mining Village you can find really many activities – we recommend.
  • The Miniature Park in Łosiny was created thanks to the imagination of Mr Mirosław, who built the miniatures of the most popular historical buildings of the world with his own hands. Don’t expect Disneyland, but the place is worth seeing :).
  • There are also a lot of ruins, cemeteries, castles, famous holes in the ground after World War II and heck knows what else – you can’t go around it all :). I haven’t even mentioned here the incredible amount of animals rampant in “our” forests ?

A little further from the Centre, but still within the limits of decency 😉

  • The regional museum and castle in Człuchów.
  • The brilliant Castle in Swiecie – it stands a bull’s-eye in the delta of the Vistula and the water (trade) channel to Swiecie. The huge towers (I LOVE towers), narrow passages, stairs in the mighty walls and overall cool atmosphere make me would definitely recommend this place sincerely.
  • Lake Charzykowy – this is one of the largest lakes in Poland, and also one of the most beautiful. It is surrounded by forests and there are numerous islands on its surface. It is a perfect place for relaxation and water sports. It is the cradle of Polish sailing. It was in this town that the first sailing association was established, and in 1920 the first regatta in our country was organised. A pirate ship sails on Lake Charzykowskie, offering commercial tourist cruises. And what bicycle and motorbike routes there are around…. simply AWESOME!
  • Mylof Dam – built between 1924 and 1934, the dam is now open to the public. A phenomenal place splitting the Brda river into the mainstream and the so-called Great Brda Canal, a second, artificial river flowing through the middle of the Forests. At the site you can see the control tower, turbine and hydroelectric power station. The area around the dam is also a great place for fishing and outdoor recreation. I cannot forget to mention the pub where they serve trout from their own farm. Ask for the smoked trout (to be served hot!)…. Simply fabulous!
  • Chojnice – which already existed in the 13th century. Evidence of this can be seen in the elements of the old buildings, which blend harmoniously with modern contemporary elements. To get to the Old Town in Chojnice, you have to go through the Człuchowska Gate. This is one of the three gates by which you could enter the walled city in the Middle Ages. Apart from the numbing insertion, we can confidently confirm that the Old Town is cool and the several pubs are really good :). We’ll make suggestions on the spot if you need them.
  • The Stone Circles in Odry. The site itself, which has been abused for decades by “archaeologists”, is not very impressive, but the access route, bridges, rivers, wineglasses and beautiful views make it worth a visit. If only for the wonderful motorcycle bends 😉
Troszkę dalej od Ośrodka, ale nadal w granicach przyzwoitości 😉
  • Muzeum regionalne oraz Zamek w Człuchowie.
  • Genialny Zamek w Świeciu – stoi byk w delcie Wisły i kanału wodnego (handlowego) do Świecia. Wielkie wieże (UWIELBIAM WIEŻE), wąskie przejścia, schody w potężnych murach i w ogóle fajny klimat sprawiają, że na pewno bym szczerze to miejsce polecił.
  • Jezioro Charzykowskie – to jedno z największych jezior w Polsce, a zarazem jedno z najpiękniejszych. Otoczone jest lasami, a na jego powierzchni znajdują się liczne wysepki. To doskonałe miejsce do wypoczynku i uprawiania sportów wodnych.

I would add to this a lot of viewpoints, trails, lakes, pubs worth visiting and you would slowly have a substitute of a picture of how wonderful the Tuchola Forest is :).

That would be roughly it 😉
